Overall this was a really fun story about a mystical journey a' la the movie Labyrinth. Khiara is snatched into Otherworld by the evil Prince Ronan and has 9 days to find her way out. The catch? She can't eat/drink anything and someone she loves must meet her at the gate. Seemingly impossible terms.The story reminded me of the movie "Labyrinth" but was so fun that I didn't care. Heavy pagan elements and the characters always say " oh goddess" for everything but these are minor annoyances in an otherwise fun tale. Only one sex scene and it's very minor.

great read!!! nicely written fantasy involving a witch who ends up in faerie. humor, adventure, love...i can't wait for the sequel!
A wonderful story line
Really enjoyed. Kept my interest and very easy reading. not too short not too long. recommended! I like teen books even though Im older. Keeps the kid in me!
I liked the independence and strength of the heroine and the fantasy world the author built. The story definitely had it's surprises and kept me intrigued. The story does start off slow and I thought the witch angle was hokey since they didn't seem to be endowed with any power BUT, stick with the story and it gets really interesting and the world building cranks up. I'll definitely check out other works by this author.

This book was a great read that moved really quickly. I cant wait to read the sequel!
Kiara is a 25-year-old witch who is in love with her best friend. She also committed a crime against a Fae nine years ago. That crime comes back to haunt her and she's forced to pay for it in a quest that forces her to travel through the Otherworld to find her way to the Gossamer Gate and back home to the mortal realm. Many things tempt her, including Liam, another Fae, who acts as her protector along her journey. This book is about more then a fantasy quest, it's also a journey into her heart. It's a fun faerie book and a good romance. Considering it's a freebie, it's just a little unpolished, but I enjoyed it all just the same.
The Gossamer Gate by Wendy L. Callahan was filled with unexpected twists and turns. Just when you were confident that you knew where the story was going another twist would happen and you would be brought into another exciting filled dilemma. The main character, Khiara, is the epitome of the modern woman, she is strong and self sufficient, yet still soft and feminine. She wishes to forge on in her turmoil and insist on true love and not settle for anything less. She knows what she wants and will let nothing stop her. Even the unknown landscape of the "otherworld" with all different types of Fae cannot deter her from her goal. This book is witty and smartly written.I would definitely recommend it to fantasy lovers! Keep the stories coming Wendy L. Callahan!
